Practical Information

This is a LAND ONLY package beginning in St. Michel de la Pierre (Normandy) and ending in Guérande/St. Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique); price does not include airfare, nor expenses to and from Paris to above destinations. For convenience and ease, the group may depart together from Paris by private minivan and return together to Paris from Saint Nazaire by train (see below for details) .

Allow 12 days total travel time. For your comfort and because flying is not as reliable as it used to be, it is recommended to spend at least one day coming and going in Paris.

How to get to Normany from Paris:
The simplest solution is that everyone spend the night prior to the tour in Paris; Karen will then collect you from your hotel and we will all depart together for Normandy in the minivan (there is no additional cost for this).

How to return to Paris from Guérande/Saint Nazaire:
Non-stop high-speeed train from Saint Nazaire to Paris, approx 3 hrs., costs about $80 (not included in trip price). Karen will drive everyone together in the minivan from the bed & breakfast in Guérande to the train station in nearby Saint-Nazaire (a 20-minute drive); van will be returned at the railstation prior to departure. Karen is able to purchase train tickets on behalf of each traveler at the best price.
